The Velum Lamp is built on a simple cube, its surface expanding outward in soft, irregular waves. Generated through a differential growth algorithm, it forms an organic, coral-like texture that feels alive without being precise.
Made from translucent rPETG in a clear tone, it lets light move through its folds, creating depth and soft shadows. The glow shifts with perspective, revealing new details from every angle.
The Velum Series explores forms shaped through algorithmic processes rather than direct design. Each piece develops through simulated growth, resulting in natural, layered, and slightly unpredictable structures.
Working with translucent material allows light to reveal depth and variation across these complex surfaces. The collection sits between digital generation and natural formation, structured but never entirely controlled.
